Close to Arzachena, which is about 20 kilometres away, and as far away as Palau, there are a series of archaeological sites dating back to the Nuragic age with many Nuraghe, tombs and giant necropolises.

In Olbia, very close to the industrial area, there is an ancient Roman aqueduct which creates an interesting mix of modern architecture and ancient ruins.
